GARDAI are probing if a man who vanished 18 days ago was driven away from the area he was last seen in following a dispute.
Detectives have searched gardens and homes, interviewed a number of people and continue to follow several lines of inquiry into the disappearance of Kieran Quilligan.
Fears for the "safety and wellbeing" of the 47-year-old continue to grow as no breakthrough in the case has been made.
Mr Quilligan was reported missing on September 4, but had been gone since three days earlier.
He has not since drawn social welfare, made any contact with his family nor touched any of his finances.
Detectives have traced his last known steps through Cork city centre, from Andersons Quay towards Sullivan's Quay and onto Proby's Quay.
