GARDA Commissioner Drew Harris has denied officers are taking a "softly softly approach" to farright protesters as he insisted the force will not "fall into their trap".
He also denied the force is allowing them to board buses carrying asylum seekers as he defended the approach to policing rallies.
Following several demos at a proposed asylum seeker accommodation centre in Santry, North Dublin, over the past number of days, Government sources insisted last night that it will not give in to protesters.
They added plans will proceed to move 300 international protection applicants into Airways Industrial Estate.
