Celtic loanee Kenny'shining' again

CELTIC loan star Johnny Kenny has his mojo back after a week to remember for club and country.

The striker came off the bench to score on his Ireland under-21 debut against Iceland - and followed up with a goal in Shamrock Rovers' rout of Dundalk on Friday.

Kenny ran amok at Oriel Park as the Hoops belatedly secured a first win of the season at the seventh attempt, with a rampant 4-0 win.

And the teen feels he can rediscover the same form he produced when at Sligo Rovers, before Celtic pounced (below).

Kenny completed a move to the Scottish champions in 2022 but was swiftly loaned out to Championship side Queen's Park.

But he failed to spark and drew a blank in 12 appearances spanning August to December, before Shamrock Rovers opened an alternative door in the New Year.

Kenny said: "I joined Queens Park and it just didn't work for whatever reasons. Football, you just don't know.
