(aet, Carlisle win 5-4 on penalties)
PAUL SIMPSON toasted another promotion as Carlisle snatched a stunning victory from the jaws of defeat at Wembley.
Stockport managed only one shot on target in the 120 minutes, but were just six minutes away from going up before the tables turned.
Leading through a disastrous Jon Mellish own goal, they allowed United supersub Omari Patrick to take it to extra-time with a dramatic late equaliser.
Carlisle keeper Tomas Holy then came up trumps to save in the shootout from Ryan Rydel. And that allowed Taylor Charters to score the winning penalty and complete a spectacular comeback in Carlisle's first EFL play-off final.
