It's better late than never for summer

IRELAND is set to experience an Indian summer this month with the mercury hitting the mid-20s next week.

Met Eireann has issued a forecast for unseasonably warm weather with high pressure dominating the country, meaning it will bask in sunshine and mainly dry conditions for most of September.

Week one, from next Monday to Sunday, will see high pressure over the Atlantic off our southwest coast, bringing with it settled conditions.
