Smith: Me, JT and Shakespeare are going to work hard to make sure there's no tragedy at Leicester

NEW Leicester boss Dean Smith insists he can pull off another great escape and has vowed to work "every minute of every day" to deliver it.

Smith (above) has accepted an eight-game survival mission with the second-bottom Foxes until the end of the season alongside assistants John Terry and Craig Shakespeare (all three below).

With the help of Terry, he has already defied the odds once, after leading Aston Villa to a final-day Houdini act in 2020, following a return of eight points from their last four games.

And Smith is confident they and Shakespeare, who was assistant boss during both Leicester's own survival miracle in 2015 and extraordinary title triumph a year later, have the tools to deliver another remarkable chapter.
