OH I STAY

NOVAK DJOKOVIC warned: "I'm going to keep going" after winning his record-equalling 24th Grand Slam title and comparing himself to LeBron James and Tom Brady.

The Serbian superstar, 36, became the oldest champion here in the Open era with his 6-3 7-66-3 win over Daniil Medvedev.

With his great rivals Roger Federer retired and Rafa Nadal on his farewell tour next season, Djokovic's longevity has become a bit of a joke.

At the trophy ceremony, world No.3 Medvedev asked: "I don't know when you plan to maybe slow down a little bit?" After winning his fourth US Open title, Djokovic responded: "Éventually one day I will leave tennis in about 23, 24 years.

"Until then, I guess you'll see me a bit more."
