THE four children seriously injured in a French playground knife attack were in intensive care last night.
One of them, a three-year-old British toddler who was on holiday in Annecy with her parents, was named locally as Ettie Turner.
French officials were yesterday granted more time to question Syrian Abdelmasih Hanoun, 31, whose asylum bid had been rejected days before.
He is first alleged to have targeted two French cousins, named locally as Ennio and Alba, both two, before turning his switch blade on Ettie and Peter, a 22-month-old Dutch boy.
Two adults were apparently slashed - Manuel, 70, and Yusuf, 78, who was also hit by a police bullet in error.
Hanoun was said to be shouting "in the name of Jesus Christ" during the attack on Thursday.
