ROVERS' GOOD GRACE

DERBY victories rarely come as comfortable as this one last night.

Shamrock Rovers recorded the biggest winning margin between these two sides since their 4-0 win in Dalymount Park in April 2016.

Golden oldies Lee Grace and Ronan Finn - two of their longest servants popped up with the first two goals.

But the biggest cheer of the night was reserved for Neil Farrugia who came off the bench for his first appearance since June and scored a spectacular third.

Rovers dominated but there was still a sense of injustice for the visitors as referee Rob Hennessy waved away a few decent penalty shouts.

Two first-half challenges by Finn in quick succession on Danny Grant and James Clarke might have been punished on another night.
