THE MIRRA CRACK'D

TEEN star Mirra Andreeva said even a young Roger Federer struggled to control his emotions after her Wimbledon debut ended with a point penalty for throwing her racket.

The Russian, 16, refused to shake the hand of Swedish umpire Louise Azemar Engzell after losing to Madison Keys.

The qualifier admitted the umpire was right to penalise her for tossing her racket in the opening set.

But in the final game of the match, Andreeva threw a tantrum when Azemar Engzell disciplined her again for damaging the pristine grass on Court Two to give Keys a match point. And like any 16-year-old, she protested it was not fair.

"It is the wrong decision," she said on-court.

"I didn't throw the racket. I slid and I fell."
