LISA McHugh has vowed to become the next Shania Twain.

The Fermanagh-based country singer said she can be both a mammy and a superstar selling out arenas.

Lisa, 34, told the Irish Sunday Mirror: "Shania Twain has been a huge inspiration since I started in the country scene.

"She blurred the lines when it came to country and crossed over to the more pop side."

Lisa, who made history as the first country act at Electric Picnic last year, added: "It's always been a goal of mine to do arena tours.

"You know the world tours on the same stages as the Nashville country music artists today, the likes of Luke Combs and Shania Twain.

"They're my inspiration."

Lisa, who welcomed baby Milo 14 months ago with husband Nathan, is flying the flag for working mums who dream big.

She explained: "I've heard so many people say to me over the years, you can't be an artist and be a mum, that you can't do both.
