UKRAINE is braced for Russia to try again to invade from the north in the new year, a leading Ukrainian commander has warned.
He fears the attack would be around the first anniversary of its failed attempt to seize Kyiv on February 24.
Major General Andrii Kovalchuk warned the fiercest fighting could be yet to come and Ukraine would need more weapons from Western allies.
He said: “We live with the thought that they will attack again. We are preparing for it.
