"The dream was to get into the first team of Lincolnshire non-Leaguers Deeping Rangers," explained Christie. "And within six months of achieving that, I was on my way to the Premier League."
The late Jim Smith (below) brought Christie to Derby to score goals - and he came up with one that most Rams fans remember.
Derby needed three points from their last two games of the 20002001 season to stay up and the penultimate match of a tough campaign was at Old Trafford.
