New craft beer spot at Oxford Road is company's third site in the city
JENNA CAMPBELL
Aleway station

WE'VE all been there. That moment, stood in front of the screens at a railway station when the dreaded words flash up to confirm that your trip home is either delayed, or worse, cancelled.

Cue a collective sigh across the station concourse, before some whip out their phones to let their other half know, while others sink down into one of those cold metal chairs looking wistfully out onto the platform. Those in the know will head somewhere else though.

A station pub or bar can be many things. A convenient place to meet friends for a day out, somewhere to shelter from the elements, or a refuge for those afflicted by delayed or cancelled trains.

That's why ccommuters are rejoicing at the latest pub opening, which happens to be a brand new craft beer spot at Manchester Oxford Road.

The new venue sits opposite the station's entrance, taking residence in what was previously the cycle hub and a small cafe.
