MUSIC, colour and celebration was the order of the day as Manchester gathered for its annual Caribbean Carnival.
Hundreds of people took to the streets of Moss Side and Hulme yesterday afternoon for a vibrant parade in and around Alexandra Park.

This year's event marks the city's 51st carnival.
This year's event is also marking 75 years since the arrival of the Windrush generation.
