The authority has announced plans to replace 2,300 litter bins across the city over the next three years. It will begin in Wythenshawe, where bosses say existing bins 'are in the greatest need of replacement, and move northwards.
The £15m 'Clean and Green Manchester' programme will also pay for new benches, repairing playgrounds, and making 'green spaces more accessible.
