Arrest as boy found badly injured in park

RESIDENTS living close to a park where a teenage boy was found seriously injured have spoken of their shock and horror.

Police say they were called to reports of a 'disturbance' at Philips Park at around 9pm on Sunday.

They found a 15-year-old unconscious having suffered serious injuries. He was taken hospital to for treatment. A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily and remained in custody for questioning.
