THE final cost of Manchester's new landmark arts venue has been confirmed at nearly a quarter-of-aBILLION pounds.
Aviva Studios, which opened last summer, came in 'within' the 'revised' budget set aside by Manchester council, the authority said.
In 2017, the original budget for the building was £110million - but this spiralled to £210.8m in five years.
After more money was allocated to the project, including £22.3m last September, the total budget was £240.99m.
However, council taxpayers have not footed all of this bill - with £106m coming from national funding sources, council bosses said.
