About 10 men were involved in a vicious clash in the middle of a road in Wythenshawe on Sunday afternoon.
The incident was captured on video and footage shows a vehicle being surrounded by one group who attack the occupants. The windscreen of the car is smashed during the violence.
The same vehicle is later driven at a group of four or five people standing on a grass verge before speeding off.
Police believe weapons were used in the incident but have not specified what they were.
