A SENIOR prosecutor was forced to apologize after a mum traveled thousands of miles for her daughter's inquest - to be left waiting for answers again.
Nosheen Akhtar, also known as Sarah Hussain, died aged 31 after being set on fire at her home in Bury in July 2021.
An inquest into her death was previously adjourned so Greater Manchester Police could hand over evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) for review.
Proceedings were due to resume at Rochdale Coroners' Court yesterday, with Ms Akhtar's family expecting a conclusion from assistant coroner Lisa Judge before the weekend.
But events took another dramatic twist as it emerged the CPS had not reviewed all of the evidence available, meaning the inquest had to be adjourned again - and a wasted journey for Ms Akhtar's mum, Zaheera Bibi, who lives in Pakistan.
