MANCHESTER’S ‘happiest places to live’ have now been revealed, with the popular suburb of Didsbury taking the top spot.
The leafy suburb was the highest rated location in the region in a list of the 70 happiest places to live across the UK in a new poll.
In second place in Greater Manchester was Chorlton, Altrincham was third, Castlefield was fourth and the Northern Quarter was voted in fifth place.
Locations were ranked according to the beauty of the surroundings and green spaces, provision of good state schools and affordable housing, as well as access to quality pubs, restaurants, independent shops and cultural attractions.
