THE mother of murdered teenager Brianna Ghey has said she does not 'carry any hate' for her daughter's killers - as she called for smartphones to be made available for under-16s without social media apps.
Scarlett Jenkinson and Eddie Ratcliffe were both 15 when they killed Brianna, 16, with a hunting knife after luring her to Linear Park in Culcheth, a village near Warrington, on February 11 last year.
Jenkinson, fuelled by an obsession with serial killers and Brianna, had watched videos of torture and murder online.
In a chilling series of messages shared between Ratcliffe and Jenkinson, they discussed killing up to six children. Jenkinson had boasted about her secret to Ratcliffe.
"I love watching torture vids, real ones on the dark web," she said in one message. Serial killers were said to be another obsession, with a series of American murderers being referenced in her scrawlings in a notebook stashed in her bedroom. There was also a reference to Harold Shipman, the doctor whose murders of over 200 patients cast a long shadow over Greater Manchester.
