Munich Re Specialty has agreed to sell city centre-based marine insurer GJW Direct to south Manchester firm Ripe. It's Ripe's second merger and acquisition (M&A) deal in 12 months.
GJW Direct specialises in noncommercial marine insurance.
It was part of the Groves, John and Westrup group that traces its history back to in 1826.
