SO far, City players have followed Pep Guardiola's golden rule on international duty - don't get injured.
Yet, it hasn't been plain sailing for Guardiola's stars. Kevin De Bruyne ended his week tearing into his Belgium team-mates, while Phil Foden and Savinho had to withdraw before the break with illness and injury.
Spain boss Luis de la Fuente also risked a public row with Guardiola by insisting he would put his country ahead of City's wishes by starting Rodri against Switzerland regardless of his fitness.
As it happened, Rodri survived his first appearance of the season, and he will return to City like a new signing having taken time to return to action following a summer injury.
Assuming there are no side-effects, Rodri should be in line to return to action for City when they host Brentford on Saturday.
