It's time to play 'best midfield' for Blades clash

Erik ten Hag's side headed into the international break on the back of a spirit-lifting win over Brentford, but the dramatic finale was not enough to gloss over the worries that were present for most of the match.

The Reds still look somewhat dysfunctional, and while a confidence boost could well contribute to their eventual revival this season, it is just as important that Ten Hag finds a way to avoid complacency and keep his team on their toes.

One way of doing that could be by shaking up his selection. What has been so worrying this season is that many of their key players have underperformed, and there is now an argument for them to be dropped.

The upcoming trip to the winless Blades could be the ideal chance for Ten Hag to take some educated risks, with the complacency concern more likely to come from sticking with underperforming players in the hope they put things right than it is from playing an experimental side.
