Joseph Adam, 21, who has Down Syndrome, hopes to complete an epic once-in-a-lifetime challenge as he will run ten 10km runs across Europe.
Joseph will run alongside his parents and three sisters, as the whole family will set course for an adventure across 10 European cities, before finishing back in Altrincham on Sunday, September 1.
He has already raised sponsorships and pledges of £180,000, but has now decided to increase his target to help to hire a disability sport officer for a community charity.
The additional funds will be used for a sports programme, including some of the most economically disadvantaged parts of Manchester.
The journey will take Joseph through Amsterdam, Liege, Luxembourg, Stuttgart, Bregenz, Zurich, Como, Monaco and Nice.
The challenge will culminate with him passing his beloved Altrincham FC's J Davidson stadium surrounded by loved ones.
