Litsle Litter Lake District

Surely, putting dog poo into the bag is the tricky bit? So what kind of person picks it up, bags it, then flings it in a tree? Sadly this disgusting sight now appears to be a feature at one of our region's most stunning landscapes - Dovestone nature reserve and reservoir walk at Greenfield in Saddleworth, according to Andrew Robinson, a journalist at our sister website Yorkshire Live. He recently visited the beauty spot and was disappointed with what he found. DOVESTONE is home to an RSPB nature reserve where you might see curlews, golden plover or even a peregrine falcon soaring overhead.

I think of this area as a 'mini Lake District' because the soaring crags and open water are almost a match for the dramatic landscape of the Cumbrian fells.

There are three reservoirs at Dovestone and it is a wonderful place to go for a walk, even if there is too much litter. On a walk at Dovestone with my family, I was disgusted to see far more litter then usual.
