A MAN arrested last week in connection with a major probe after the remains of a baby were found in a garden has been released under investigation, police said yesterday.
The 71-year-old man was arrested by officers on Friday.
He was held on suspicion of preventing a lawful burial after the baby's remains were uncovered in the garden of a home on Marsh Green, Wigan, on April 10.
Yesterday, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police confirmed he has now been released under investigation.
Five people aged between 20 and 70 - were previously arrested on suspicion of concealing a death and unlawful burial.
