Claire Scanlon, 38, is alleged to have murdered son Dylan on December 31, 2021. The five-year-old was found at their home in Limeside, Oldham, with 64 separate injuries to his head and body, jurors at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court have previously heard. The cause of his death, the court was told, was found to be mirtazapine toxicity.
A post-mortem and toxicology report, jurors have heard, found Dylan had 9,951 micrograms of the antidepressant per litre of blood in his system. The drug had been prescribed to his mother.
