A NUMBER of new housing developments have been tabled across Greater Manchester this week.
A total of 256 new homes could be approved in different boroughs in the city region. The largest application comes in Trafford where plans for a 159-home apartment block has been mooted. The other applications are smaller in scale in terms of housing numbers but repurpose currently disused buildings.
More than 150 new homes could come to Pomona Island in Trafford in the coming years.
Peel Waters, a subsidiary of the Peel Group which owns the Manchester Ship Canal, is behind the development - which will sit between the aforementioned ship canal and the Bridgewater Canal.
The scheme will have 159 new flats spread across two towers.
A listed office building in Bolton is the subject of plans to convert it into six apartments and bedsits.
