A DAD has been jailed after threatening to kill his wife and three children during a row about him arriving home late and drunk following a 12-hour pub binge.
Lee Wright, 42, held spouse Jodie and their children aged 13, 11 and three, hostage in a bedroom at their house last May after he was confronted for returning home drunk in the early hours despite saying he was just popping out for cigarettes.
During the terrifying rampage Wright, of Cemetery Road, Salford, who was armed with a kitchen knife shouted at Jodie: "Do you want me to stab you?" then called himself warned: police and "If you turn up to the house, you will find four bodies inside", Manchester Crown Court heard.
The terrified children wept with terror during the incident and were said to have pleaded, 'please don't kill us, daddy' as Wright headbutted a wardrobe, hurled items across the floor and pulled the TV off the wall.
He was eventually arrested after storming out of the family home in Weaste, Salford to sit in his van.
When quizzed by police he gave no comment in interview before closing the session by saying: "It's all bulls**t anyway."
