A MANCHESTER-BORN freelance journalist who was the main suspect in a murder has died, his solicitor has revealed.
Ian Bailey, 66, was accused of killing French producer Sophie Toscan du Plantier.
Mr Bailey had a very severe heart condition and had been a candidate for surgery. His solicitor Frank Buttimer, who has known Mr Bailey since March 1997, said he was 'very upset' to hear of his death in Cork, Ireland.
