A TEENAGER has denied murdering a student ahead of his proposed trial later this year.
Shiloh George Pottinger, 19, from Fallowfield, has been charged with the murder of 19-year-old Luke O'Connor, as well as possession of a bladed article.
Mr Pottinger appeared at Manchester Crown Court on Friday for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
He entered a not-guilty plea to the charge of murder, but pleaded guilty to the charge of possession of a bladed article.
A judge set a trial date of April 24 after the pleas were entered during the brief hearing yesterday.
