NO ONE has been prouder than Ellie Leach's mum Karen to see how her daughter has blossomed on the dancefloor of BBC Strictly Come Dancing.
Her dance skills have amazed even the people closest to her - who had no idea she had such a talent.
By the tender age of nine, Ellie had already won her first TV role on Coronation Street as Faye Windass - and acting became her passion. Now, the Audenshaw actress is tipped as the favourite to take the Glitterball trophy with her professional dance partner Vito Coppola on the Strictly final tonight.
Karen has travelled down from the family's home in Audenshaw to London every weekend since Ellie's Strictly journey first began back in September.
Now she could be about to watch her 24-year-old daughter waltz away with the entire competition. Ellie's mum Karen, 50, and dad Al, 52, along with her little sister Daisy, 15, have been cheering her every step of the way.
