Government data released on Thursday revealed that wholesale prices increased by 2.36 per cent in October, marking a 4-month high. This rise was primarily driven by escalating costs of food items, particularly vegetables, and manufactured goods.
The wholesale price index (WPI) based inflation was 1.84 per cent in September 2024. It was (-) 0.26 per cent in October last year.
