Audit found no wrong, says former exec sued by Wipro

Mohd Ehteshamul Haque, a former senior vice president of Wipro who was taken to court by the Bengaluru-based IT M services major after he quit the company and joined rival Cognizant, has strongly countered allegations against him in a court in the US.

Haque argued that Wipro failed to mention that it had conducted a complete third-party forensic examination of his personal computers and email accounts before his exit from the company and that it had found nothing to suggest misappropriation or theft of Wipro's confidential data by him.

Calling Wipro's allegations of him transferring confidential files to his personal account as "baseless", Haque filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit.

He also proposed arbitration, pointing out that his equity award agreements with Wipro allow for such a process.
