KKR expects to hire about 150 new employees initially for the new office in Gurugram, near the national capital Delhi, by early 2024, the PE firm said in a statement.
These employees will be in finance, operations, human capital and technology functions, it said. The Gurugram office comes more than a decade after KKR opened its first India office, in Mumbai, in 2009. In total, KKR has offices in 22 other cities across four continents, including seven more in Asia Pacific: Beijing, Hong Kong, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo.
