Quick-service restaurant operator Devyani International Ltd's foray into Thailand has delighted investors, resulting in a 5% surge in share prices on Tuesday.

The company's Southeast Asia expansion involves its subsidiary securing a 93% stake in KFC franchise partner Restaurant Development Co Ltd, while the remaining shares went to a local partner. Besides Devyani, Tem asek Holdings also has a stake in this subsidiary.
