Sometimes, when you are rich, powerful, or famous, you get treated differently when you are alleged to have committed a crime, compared to a regular “Joe Blow.”
As crazy as it feels, America and the world have now watched a former president indicted for a 3rd time, on August 3, in our nation’s Capitol. Donald Trump had to turn himself in once again (with media hovering all about) to face his newest indictment charges.
He pled not guilty. Trump (like every other American citizen) has the right to be treated as innocent until otherwise proven. However, I could cite numerous cases of people charged with serious crimes like Trump, and while they had not been proven guilty yet, they had to remain behind bars.
Everyone is so quick to say that we have to treat former president Donald Trump fairly. He should not be treated differently than anyone else accused of a crime. But yet, he is still treated differently. Let’s just be honest.
