Shocked homeowners in Hawaii head home to scenes of devastation

RETURN TO HELL

KING Charles has written to US President Joe Biden saying he and the Queen were "utterly horrified" by the "catastrophic" wildfires in Hawaii.

Charles and Camilla sent their "deepest possible sympathy" to the families of people who died in the blazes on the island of Maui.

The letter from the King read: "We can only begin to imagine the scale of the devastation engulfing the island, and the heartrending anguish of those whose livelihoods have been so disastrously affected." More than a thousand people were still missing yesterday on the fire-ravaged island - as the death toll rose to at least 80.
