PATIENTS are being urged to book vaccinations from tomorrow to avoid a potentially deadly “tripledemic” of respiratory syncytial virus, flu and Covid, ahead of a busy winter for the NHS.

Serious concerns about the three viruses have been raised, given a “challenging” season is expected for hospitals and emergency care.

People are being told to prioritise booking appointments when slots open tomorrow.

NHS England director for vaccinations Michelle Kane said: “Vaccination is a vital part of the NHS’s preparations for what is expected to be another challenging winter, with concerns about a potential ‘tripledemic’ of RSV, Covid and flu during an already busy period.”
