In a gesture of appreciation ahead of the Diwali festival, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced a Diwali bonus of Rs 7,000 for approximately 80,000 Group B non-gazetted and Group C employees of the Delhi government. The bonus, which will incur an expenditure of Rs 56 crore to the state exchequer, was confirmed by the Chief Minister during a press briefing.
Kejriwal emphasized the government’s commitment to improving the lives of its employees and expressed gratitude for their significant contributions. He stated, “The Delhi government has done a lot of work in various sectors, including education, health, infrastructure, and public services over the last eight years. The dedication and hard work of our employees have played a pivotal role in transforming Delhi into a city of dreams.”
