Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways, has announced India's ambitious goal to align its road infrastructure with that of the United States within the next five years. Emphasizing a comprehensive strategy, the government aims to address metro congestion, reduce travel time, and minimize road accidents.

Over the past nine years, the ministry, under Gadkari's leadership, has allocated projects exceeding Rs 50 lakh crore. Gadkari highlighted the streamlined contract approval process, fostering transparency, efficiency, and achieving seven world records. Expressing confidence, he stated, "After five years, our road infrastructure will be equal to the US."
