19BN PORTFOLIO: PROMINENT STOCKS AND ETFS FAVOURED BY SA RETAIL INVESTORS
Moneyweb
EasyEquities popular picks

Top holdings of shares listed on the JSE are Sasol, Purple Group, Capitec Bank and Naspers.

EasyEquities has lifted the lid - a little on the top shares, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and crypto assets that its clients are invested in across its R19 billion client portfolio.

Stocks comprise the largest chunk of investments (53%), with ETFs at 42%. Crypto makes up the rest (5%), at about R1 billion.

The top holdings of shares listed on the JSE are Sasol (2.45%), Purple Group (1.88%), Capitec Bank (1.65%) and Naspers (1.23%). The platform, owned by Purple Group, cites Discovery and Shoprite as others with sizeable holdings across the portfolio.

The appearance of Capitec Bank and Discovery as we have are not surprising as EasyEquities powers investment widgets on the banking apps of both groups.

However, these are all dwarfed by the two largest equity holdings: Nvidia and Tesla, at 3% each. Holdings in Apple (1.39%), Microsoft (1.22%) and Alphabet (0.74%) are also sizeable.
