July fever hits Durban today and as usual, is filled with fun, fashion and a flutter on the horses.
There are 18 horses carded to go to post and, remarkably, for the first time in 45 years there are no fillies in the line-up.
Nevertheless, one "filly" is making the headlines at Hollywoodbets Greyville and that is jockey Rachel Venniker who, at 4pm, will become the first woman to ride in what is considered Africa's greatest horse race.
Venniker was originally slated to ride Without Question, but he was withdrawn on Thursday and Venniker is now set to ride first reserve Hluhluwe, also for trainer Justin Snaith.
