ASSESSING AJAY BHATT'S PERFORMANCE AS NAINITAL-UDHAMSINGH NAGAR'S MP

A ground-level survey of the Udham Singh Nagar Parliamentary constituency was conducted by India News to analyse the performance of Ajay Bhatt, the Member of Parliament from Udhamsingh Nagar, and gather voters' feedback about him.

On September 30, 1995, the establishment of Udhamsingh Nagar district marked its separation from Nainital district in the Terai region of Uttarakhand.

Ranked as the third most populous district among Uttarakhand's major industrial centres, Udhamsingh Nagar boasts the presence of India's inaugural Govind Ballabh Pant Agricultural University.

In the politically active terrain of Uttarakhand's hills, Ajay Bhatt, a prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), currently serves as the Member of Parliament, representing the region.

The creation of the Nainital Udham Singh Nagar seat occurred after the delimitation in 2008, replacing the Nainital Lok Sabha seat. The BJP has clinched victory in the last two general elections.
