PUTIN WARNS NATO NATIONS; NORTH KOREA SHOWCASES ITS NUCLEAR CAPABILITIES

After days of regional and international summits, the world politics returns to its usual this week.

This week remained steady in terms of developments and events. However, the nuke alert from North Korea raised the eyebrows of the global leaders. On the other hand, the Russian President Putin has warned the NATO nations that if they permit Ukraine to launch aerial strikes on Russian territory using their missiles, it would constitute their direct confrontation with Russia and would take the war to a different direction.

This week, amid the intensification of war between Russia and Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin has asserted that if the West permits Ukraine to launch aerial strikes on Russian territory using Western-supplied longrange missiles, it would constitute a direct confrontation with Russia, fundamentally changing the nature and extent of the conflict.

For several months, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy has been urging Ukraine’s allies (read: NATO nations) to provide Ukraine with the capability to deploy Western missiles, such as the long-range ones, into Russian territory to diminish Russia’s capacity for offensive operations. Putin emphasized that such actions would involve the nations in to the war who would be supplying longrange missiles to Ukraine in the conflict. Putin stated while making his address, “If this decision is taken, it will mean nothing less than the direct involvement of NATO countries, the United States and European countries in the war in Ukraine. This will be their direct participation, and this, of course, will significantly change the very essence, the very nature of the conflict.
