A businessman from Matunga jumped off the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) on Wednesday, the second suicide from the bridge this week. Nine months since the MTHL's inauguration, six suicide attempts have been reported on the bridge. Five people have died; one of the victims was saved by an alert taxi driver.
Philip Shah, 52, arrived in his car, parked it on the roadside and jumped off the bridge. His body was recovered around 15 minutes later.
Shah had told his wife that he was going to meet his friend.
