Authorities to tighten railway stations' security

The incidents of suicide at railway stations under the Pune Division are increasing. According to official data, the Pune Division registered a total of 110 suicidal cases, including four cases at Pune Railway Station, over the past four years. In the first ten months of 2024 alone, 50 people have lost their lives. Three cases were registered in 2021, 27 cases in 2022 and 30 cases in 2023.
