Police in Khar have arrested a 19-year-old caretaker and her boyfriend for allegedly stealing 1.2kg of gold jewellery from the house where she worked.
The duo reportedly planned the theft to finance their wedding.
The caretaker was caught after she posted photos on Instagram wearing the stolen jewellery. Her boyfriend, who also posted pictures wearing a stolen gold chain, was arrested in Uttar Pradesh.
Mahima Nagendra Nishad is a resident of Santacruz, while her boyfriend Rajnish Shivdhan Arya, 20, hails from Bhasma village in Gorakhpur.
